Chicken Stuffed With Le Gruyere and Sage

Oh boy, I don’t know where you are, but I’m in the middle of a major snowstorm.  What better thing to do in a snowstorm than cook a nice healthy meal?

I eat a lot of chicken, but I tend to make it the same way all of the time. It’s nice to cook chicken differently and experiment with a variety flavors. This recipe doesn’t require many ingredients, but it packs your taste buds with tons of flavor.

Here is what you’ll need:

Pictured here is:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 16 pieces of sage
  • ¼ lb. of Le Gruyere cheese
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cut the chicken breasts in half (horizontally) this will give you 4 pieces of chicken. Pound the chicken to make each piece about 1/4 inch thick. 

Next, season each side of the chicken with sea salt and pepper.

Next, slice the cheese and remove the stems from the sage.

Then, place sage and cheese on each chicken breast.

Now, carefully roll the chicken up and seal with toothpicks or skewers. (I didn’t have toothpicks, so I used skewers. I had a tough time keeping them sealed, so I used 2 skewers).

Bake for about 35 minutes (or until the chicken reaches 170 degrees). Enjoy!
