Lime & Sea Salt Tortilla Chips

Chips Make-Over

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great start to your week. My husband and I just got back from our beach vacation. It was a blast!

Here’s the view from our balcony:


Now that I’m home, I’m trying out some new and delicious recipes. I cannot wait to share them with you! 

Last night I whipped up some semi-homemade lime and sea salt tortilla chips. They were amazing! I don’t think I’ll ever buy store brands again. These are so easy to make and the flavor is incredible!

Here are the ingredients you’ll need for 2 servings (16 chips is a serving size):


  • 4 yellow corn tortillas
  • Sea Salt to taste
  • 1/2 of a lime
  • Canola Oil spray

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a pizza cutter, cut tortillas in even triangle shapes. (You can do all 4 at the same time if they are the thin tortilla kind.)


Spray a baking sheet liberally with canola oil. Evenly place tortilla triangles on the baking sheet. Spray the tortillas with the canola oil and then top with sea salt.

Bake for about 10-15 minutes. Once they begin to curl up on the edges, they are close to being finished. (Be sure to keep an eye on them so that they don’t burn) This is what they’ll look like when they are finished:


Place chips on a paper towel to cool (about 5 minutes). Drizzle with fresh lime juice. Enjoy!


If you love tortilla chips, I guarantee you’ll love these! My husband agreed that they taste 100% better than store bought chips (that says a lot because he’s a chip connoisseur) Smile

Nutrition information: Each serving (16 chips) is 160 calories (compared to store bought chips where you can only have 6 chips for 150 calories). There are only 2 grams of fat per serving (compared to 6 grams of fat in the store bought brand).
