Hey everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your Friday! I’m not sure if you know this or not, but today is “Take Your Dog to Work Day”. In honor of this special day, someone wanted to say hello to you all:

You may have noticed that I have a lot of Pitbull songs. I think he’s a musical genius. Every song he touches ends up becoming a hit (plus his beats get me shakin’ and movin’)!

While we’re talking about shaking it, I have a new and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S recipe for you. I first discovered this recipe on Angela’s blog Oh She Glows.

I must admit that I was very skeptical about this shake. I mostly made it out of curiosity. I didn’t understand how this green looking sludge could taste good. To my amazement, this was (and is) by far the best smoothie I have ever tasted in my life. The color can be troublesome, but the flavor is incredible.

When I first started drinking these, I told everyone about them (because I couldn’t get over how great they were). I got the same reaction every time I told someone about it….a scrunched up nose, followed by an “I’m not so sure about that” look. Everyone I have made one for has loved them. I promise you will too! Oh, and believe it or not, you cannot taste the spinach at all.

The great thing about this smoothie is that you can make unlimited combinations with different ingredients depending on your taste preferences.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make 1 healthy smoothie:

  • 2 cups of raw spinach (I use baby spinach) *
  • 1 cup unsweetened regular milk *
  • 1 medium banana *

**These are the 3 ingredients I ALWAYS use when making this shake. Today, I added 1.5 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.

Blend all ingredients together either in a blender or Magic Bullet. Be sure to blend it thoroughly.

Nutrition information: This smoothie only has 159 calories! There are so many health benefits to this smoothie. It is high in calcium, dietary fiber, potassium, Vitamins A, B6, C, and E. It is very low in saturated fat and has no cholesterol!

      Señor, although I do love me some Sheriff it didn’t make it to my exercise playlist (it’s not very upbeat) However, I’m sure it’s on another playlist on my iPod. 🙂
